two soldiers

Major Paine can be very serious.
Major Paine takes the screen by storm in “Two Soldiers,” the latest short film from Chez Joel Films and K_sra Productions.

ksrasra and I began a short film project yesterday (3:00pm Saturday, July 9th, 2005) and finished just moments ago (8:15am, Sunday, July 10th, 2005). I hope you enjoy the film as much as we enjoyed making it.

  2. I love running around like real puppets. And the score just makes the film… no, really, the entire film A film.

  3. Who was that kid in the “I can’t go back” scene? What a screen presence! Keep your eyes on that one…

  4. Great stuff — the film, and the “making of” film, all rolled into one. Was that the Red Army Chorus on the soundtrack? It wasn’t the old Soviet anthem, but I think I remember the piece you used from “Hunt for Red October.” Very nice.

I was surprised that none of your actors lost a head or a limb during the course of the film; action figure actors are susceptible to that sort of thing.

  5. Yeah, that young guy…a regular up-and-coming Marlon Brando of the action figure world.

And yes, that was the Red Army Chorus from The Hunt for Red October. Obviously I haven’t resolved the dilemma of what to do about music used without permission…put them in the credits?
