this is christmas

This is my election stash.
Some of the cool stuff I received as I walked into the polling place yesterday.

This election has been like Christmas for the republican party. Here are my twelve days of Christmas:

  • Another four years of Bush Presidency.
  • A solid lead in the popular vote.
  • A quick, solid decision/consession.
  • No wrangling in the courts.
  • A 3 or 4 seat pickup in the senate.
  • Daschle gone.
  • Daschle is gone.
  • Daschle is no longer the senate minority leader.
  • Daschle is finally gone.
  • A republican governer for my state, Indiana (Hooray, Mitch!).
  • Media's love affair with exit polls embarrassed.
  • The high-turnout-favors-Democrats myth is exploded.
Now if the Polar Express would pull up outside my door...

Heh, I had a beer with My Man Mitch at the Heorot a week before the election. Didn't even know who he was till he left and someone told me. He didn't like the Ommegang I poured him a taste of. He lost my respect right there. Stupid Budweiser-drinkin' foo'.

Oh, yeah? Well, I've eaten waffles with the Mayor of New Orleans, so there. (Just had to add something.) Joel, your pictures cracked me up. The "in the booth" one was a shock to my system, 'cuz that's supposed to be PRIVATE! And then I realized that, no, really it's not. Kind of.
