About Joel

I am an African.  I have never returned to that place, but I long to do so.  Since those days I have lived in California, Utah, Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Ohio, Indiana & Tennessee.  I loved each of those places for different reasons.  But none of them were Africa.  If you want to understand who I am, first you have to know that I am an African.

I love the Constitution of the United States of America.  I love the founders of this nation.  I love the preachers who spoke to our masses of colonists, who stoked in their hearts the fires which burned away the chains which have bound most men in nearly every age in the history of this planet.  I love freedom, and free men and women.

Do not tell me I most choose between my love for the Constitution of the United States and Africa.  Do not tell me Africa is a system which cannot be broken, changed or healed.  Such things have been said before of North America.  Such things were said of Europe.  North America changed.   Europe changed.  Africa will change also.

Prosperity will follow freedom.  Freedom will follow justice.  Justice will follow the Kingdom of Heaven.  The Kingdom of Heaven follows me, and I am an African.
